Effective measures for Closing the Feedback Loop with Students in Quality Assurance & Enhancement Processes

10 Dec

Location: Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, St. Stephen's Green, Dublin 2

Date/Time: Wednesday, 10 December 2014 from 09:30 to 13:00

As key stakeholders in higher education, the views and experiences of our students are sought routinely through surveys and in the context of reviews of academic and service departments, and are of real value in achieving a holistic view of higher education provision.  Unfortunately, too often, students do not see a meaningful outcome from their engagement since higher education institutions tend not to communicate the actions arising from surveys and reviews adequately to them.  If we are to retain student engagement in these processes, we must do better.  This workshop aims to explore examples of good practice in closing this feedback loop.

This workshop is a pilot initiative of the Training Sub-group of the Irish Higher Education Quality Network (IHEQN), which is exploring the possibility of developing an annual training workshop to be held under the auspices of the Network with a view to disseminating best practice in the higher education sector.
