Standards & Guidelines for Quality Assurance in the European Higher Education Area
The following report was drafted by the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA) in consultation with the EUA, ESIB and EURASHE and in consultation with a number of other relevant networks.
'Standards & Guidelines for Quality Assurance in the European Higher Education Area' is ENQA's response to the twin mandates given to it in the Berlin Communique of September 2003, namely, to develop 'an agreed set of standards, procedures and guidelines in quality assurance' and 'to explore ways of ensuring an adequate peer review system for quality assurance and / or accreditation agencies or bodies'.
This report was adopted by the Ministers responsible for Education in the European Higher Education Area in Bergen in 2005 and can be downloaded below:
